Launched : Maruti Suzuki STINGRAY
- Maruti Suzuki launched the all new Stingray and expanded its portfolio to a staggering 17 passenger vehicles (including the Maruti 800 and Estilo)
- The WagonR is still available as a separate model.
- The Stingray is available in 3 variants, price ranging from Rs.4,32,038/- to Rs.4,95,712 (ex-showroom Mumbai).
- Stingray is powered by the 998cc three-cylinder K-series engine.
- The K-10B engine on Stingray delivers a power of 68PS @ 6200rpm and a high torque of 90Nm @ 3500 rpm.
Price :
The Stingray is priced higher than the WagonR, since Stingray is the premium version on WagonR, with new stlying, luxurious interiors and whole lot of features.

Design :
As you can see, overall the Stingray is similar to the WagonR apart from its length. The Stingray is longer than the WangonR althought the wheelbase for both the cars are same.

Engine & Gearbox :
Both WagonR and Stingray have same engine K-series 3-cylinder K10B 998cc engine with max power of 68PS and max torque of 90Nm mated with 5-speed Manual transmission.
The only difference is that WagonR is avaiable in CNG variant, while the Stingray does not have any CNG variant yet.
