When I set out to buy a scooter for myself, in moped section the Honda Dio was only option I considered. The Honda Activa was also there but I preferred Dio due to its design, style and looks and the light weight feel of the bike. 

The Dio is powered by 109cc 4-stroke air-cooled single cylinder engine which produces 8.1 PS of power and 8.77 Nm of toque. The power is enough for this 109cc bike, it works smoothly. The amount of torque available throughout the rpm range is good. Cost of maintenance and repair is not so much. The money I have spent maintaining or servicing is nearly Rs.1000/- in 6 months. The Dio comes with 130mm drum brakes at both front and rear. The braking power is ok but and I feel it should be upgraded with disc type.

Both at the front as well as rear the Dio is equipped with Spring Loaded Hydraulic Type Suspension. Suspension performance on bad roads as compared to highway roads is not so good. There is a need for softer or stiffer suspension settings.

Which suspension type I prefer at the rear? Ans: Mono-shock

The seat is comfortable and the design of the seat is very nice. The quality of the materials used for seating is also good. the seat and handle position is comfortable for long rides. But also during long rides I feel little back-pain!

The design and layout of the bike is very attractive right from head-light design it is very different from any other bike. Mirror should be smaller, side-indicators are very good, exhaust pipe design is also nice and tail-lamp design is also very nice.

Stability & handling is good but the engine vibrates at high speeds. Engine heating issue is also there. Top speed I have achieved till date is 85kmph.There is a need for a more thicker rear tyre. I have changed the tyre with cat button tyre.

I get approximate figures of fuel economy is 40 kmpl. 

Experience with service from the dealer is good . There is no issues of high costs and lack of availability of spares. Accident and damage repairs cost is not so cheap but at the same time it is also not so expensive to maintain.

Overall I am satisfied with my bike, it is very stylish in moped section. I can recommend this product those who are interested in mopeds It is the best option for boys who wants a moped.
