Ford Recalls 4,35,000 Cars In US For Rusting Frame Issue



Around 4,35,000 Ford vehicles including approximately 3,86,000 Ford Escape SUVs have been recalled by Ford for a possible frame rusting issue. These vehicles sold in 20 states in USA where salt is used on roads in winter to clear snow might be vulnerable to corrosion. Ford Escape built between 2001 and 2004 have been recalled.


According to Ford, there would be a rusting in the car’s subframe which would cause the problems to the steering control of the vehicle. Affected states of US includes Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia and Wisconsin.



Around 37,000 Ford Escapes have been recalled in Canada. 48,960 Ford Fusions, C-MAXs and Lincoln MKZs have also been recalled.

  1. I bought the Ford Freestyle in May 2019. My experience is pathetic this time. From the very first day, there was a problem with the gearbox of the car. Clips of the parcel tray were damaged since I bought the car. Quality of shocker is so bad that within 6 months there was a problem in it. Go to find the actual ford freestyle mileage.
