Maruti Suzuki Ciaz To Be Launched In September

Maruti Suzuki will launch the Ciaz sedan in September following its unveiling as a concept car at the 2014 Auto Expo held in February this year in New Delhi. Both petrol and diesel versions will be launched at the same time.

The images shown in this post are of the Ciaz concept showcased in the 2014 Auto Expo earlier this year. We expect the production car to be less glamorous than the one displayed by Suzuki but you never know if there is a surprise in store.

The Ciaz will directly compete with the successful fluidic Hyundai Verna and the new Honda City. The Ciaz is expected to be powered by a 1.4L petrol engine with max power output of 95PS and max torque of 130Nm. The diesel unit will be the 1.3L in capacity which will produce 90PS of max power and 200Nm of max torque.

No concrete info on the launch date but the dealers will soon accept pre-launch bookings for the Ciaz and expect it to be priced around 7.5 – 10 lakh rupees.
