JD Power Announces 2014 India Vehicle Dependability Study Awards
JD Power Asia Pacific
India announced the winners for 2014 India Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS)
award across various car segments. The study rated the cars across four
parameters: Powertrain Dependability, Body and Interior Dependability, Feature
and Accessory Dependability and Overall Dependability.
In the Compact car
segment, Hyundai Santro was announced the winner. It scored the highest in
Powertrain Dependability, Body and Interior Dependability and Overall
Dependability while Maruti Suzuki Alto scored the highest in Feature and
Accessory Dependability.
The Most Dependable
Premium Compact Car Award was won by the Skoda Fabia. It scored the highest on
all the parameters. The Volkswagen Polo came a close second and Maruti Suzuki
Swift came third on the overall ratings.
Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire
won the Most Dependable Entry Midsize Car Award while the Most Dependable
Midsize Car and Most Dependable Premium Midsize Car awards were presented to
Maruti Suzuki SX4 and Honda Civic, respectively.
Toyota Motors clean
sweeped the Utility Segment with Toyota Innova Winning the Most Dependable
MUV/MPV award while the Toyota Fortuner won the Most Dependable SUV award.
