Suzuki Gixxer SF Set for Launch on 7th April
Suzuki’s
all-praised 155-cc bike Gixxer is all set to get a new version, which will be
launched in India on 7th April. The new
version will be called Gixxer SF. The Gixxer SF will feature a full-fairing and
in terms of price it will compete with bikes like the Hero Karizma R and in
terms of specs its rivals will be the Yamaha YZF-R15 and Honda CBR.
The fuel
tank, grab rails, side panels and the tail piece will be similar to the earlier
version of the bike. The only major difference between the upcoming version and
the earlier version will be the new fairing. Also, it will be powered by the same
air-cooled, 155cc, single-cylinder engine. The power generated will also remain
the same i.e. 13.8 bhp, but it is expected to offer a better top speed.
The Gixxer
SF will also feature a digital instrument cluster similar to its naked version.
The instrument cluster will include twin tripmetres, engine over-rev light,
gear indicator, clock, low battery and much more.
Gixxer SF
will likely be available in Pearl Mirage White, Metallic Triton Blue, Glass
Sparkle Black, Candy Red and Metallic Grey. The Gixxer SF will be priced at
around Rs.10,000 more than its naked version, the price reaching around Rs.85,000-88,000.
