National Geographic Channel India brings you a TV series that will take you two decades back in the 1990s where names like Hyundai, Honda, Tata Motors, Toyota were unheard of in the passenger car segment of the Indian Automobile Industry. Keyless entry, power windows, power steering, automatic gearbox, adjustable seats, airbags, ABS, were words that would not have made any sense back then.

It was decade where only the rich, upper class people could afford a car. It was a decade that was dominated by the like of HM Contessa, Fiat 118 NE, Daewoo Cielo and many others. Unfortunately none or very few of these survived the modern era. They are an extinct species now as brands and with handful of them in possession of few avid collectors.
