Maruti Suzuki S-Cross All Set For Launch In India

Maruti Suzuki, country's largest small car manufacturer, is all set to launch the S-Cross. The all new S-Cross is a compact SUV ready to lock horns with the likes of Ford EcoSport, Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano and also the Hyundai’s all new Creta in the market. The car has an exclusive design borrowing certain elements from the Maruti Suzuki SX4 that catered the masses for years before being replaced by the Ciaz. People are getting more and more comfortable with the compact SUVs and monsoon is here making people want to explore the ghats and the scenic wilderness. There cannot be a better time to launch this highly anticipated vehicle. 

It measures 4.3-metres in length, almost as long as the Renault Duster with a ground clearance of 170mm. The model features a boot space of 430 litres. The ground clearance is greater than that of the European versions to better suit the Indian conditions. The S-Cross is expected to be available in 8 variants. It is expected to be available in both diesel powered engine and petrol powered engine.  The two diesel engine options are 1.3 litre DDiS and 1.6 litre Multijet, both of which have been sourced from Fiat.

The all new S-Cross will be available only at NEXA dealerships across India. NEXA has 100 dealerships across the nation. The price for the S-Cross may vary from 8 lakhs for the lower variants and around 12 lakhs for the better variant. The S-Cross could be the Ace card for Maruti Suzuki to establish its dominance in the compact SUV segment.
