Piaggio Unveils India's First Sports Scooter Aprilia SR 150 At Auto Expo 2016

New Delhi, 3rd Feb 2016: Piaggio India is all set to create a new category in the scooter segment in India with the launch of first of a kind sports scooter - the Aprilia SR 150. It will be launched in August 2016 in India and will be manufactured at the Piaggio facility in Baramati, Maharashtra.

The Aprilia SR 150 has a unique design that blends the cues of motorbikes and scooters. It i powered by a 150cc engine, sports 14-inch alloy wheels and have an automatic gearbox. It comes with 220mm front disc and 140mm rear drum brakes.

Piaggio says the Aprilia SR 150 designed for India’s discerning young riders who are looking for the sensation of sport bikes and the convenience of automatic scooters in their daily city commute.

With this addition, Piaggio Vehicles Private Limited – the Piaggio Group’s wholly owned Indian subsidiary again pioneers a new category in India’s premium two- wheeler market.

Alongside the new Aprilia SR 150, the Piaggio Group exhibited the most representative vehicles from Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Vespa brands.
