Highlights Of The Tata T1 Prima Truck Racing Championship Season 3

The first ever Indian truck race won by Jagat Singh and Nagarjun A.

The Tata T1 Prima Truck Racing Season 3 was filled with loads of action and lots of thrill at the Buddh International Circuit. Like the previous season, this season was filled with excitement which not only included just the amazing heavy duty truck races but also lots of performances by different artists across the country to enthrall the fans and cheer up the teams as well. 

The season saw the coming of more than 500 drivers and transport companies to qualify for this event, however only 12 drivers were selected that competed in this event. The Season started with the WARM UP LAPS before the actual showdown began. 

This eventually kicked off the event with a carnival of different performances by various groups that included punjabi dances, dhols, various other spectacular and hearthrobbing performances by different artists. This accompanied the Flag-Off ceremony of the Tata T1 Prima Truck Racing Championship Season 3.

After this, the felicitation of the 12 selected Indian drivers took place and they were honoured by the Tata representatives and several others organising the event. The main anchor of the event was Sameer Kocchar that added even more sparkle to this Season. For the felicitation ceremony ,the team players of IPL cricket team Kings XI Punjab were also present which included Virender Sehwag, Mohit Sharma and Gurkeerat Singh honouring the Indian Drivers.

All this kicked off the first leg of Truck Racing that saw International Drivers competing against each other in the Pro Class Racing segment. The International Drivers had a separate category that of the Indian Drivers. Graham Powel took the 1st Place followed by Mat Sumerfield of Team Castrol and Rick Collett.

After the first leg of International Races, eventually the 1st Superclass race of the Indian Truck Drivers started. There was a whole lot of excitement amongst the crowd as well as the spectators. The 1st position was bagged by Jagat Singh, the runners up were Malkeet Singh followed by Rajkumar Mahato. All this was followed by an electrifying performance by Badshah that bamboozled the crowd and there was a certain kind of vibe flowing on the tarmac during this intoxicating performance. 

This was followed by the final Superclass Indian truck drivers race which was won by the Andhra Pradesh’s Driver A. Nagarjuna of Team Tata Technologies Motorsport Ltd. After the final race, the awards were given to the drivers which included a trophy and a cash price of Rs.10 Lakhs to the winners. All this, was accompanied by yet another performance by Garima Yagnik. The event concluded with an exhilarating performance by one of the best female singer from Bollywood, Sunidhi Chauhan. All in all this season of Tata T1 Prima Truck Racing was a joy to watch not only for the spectators but also for the teams that participated in the event.
