The Swedish brand, Volvo, is known in the world for producing heart throbbing and exhilarating vehicles. Volvo had launched the XC90 a few months back and recently the company unveiled two new concept cars and mark the official launch of its global entry premium segment. The new 40 series concept vehicles portray the company’s future strategies of entering into the entry-level premium segment.
The new concept cars will be the first built around Volvo’s new Compact Modular Architecture (CMA), which has been specially created for entry-level premium segment. Volvo’s new entry premium car range will include a pure battery electric vehicle as well as Twin Engine Plug-in Hybrid powertrain variants. Volvo have plans to sell a total of up to 1 million electrified cars by 2025 globally.
In addition to an amazing layout of interiors in these upcoming vehicles, the new cars will also offer a full range of innovative connectivity services, plus the world’s most advanced standard package of safety features as stated by the company post the unveil.
Commenting on the occasion Mr.Hakan Samuelsson, President and Chief Executive, Volvo proclaimed that,
"The new 40 series cars have the potential to improve the market penetration in an important growing segment and that the first new 40 series car is expected to go into production in 2017."
